New Music Monday is a collection of the best new releases in music each week. We share them with you every Monday, every hour on WFUV.

Lord Huron- Lonesome Dreams

It’s hard to imagine a listener not enjoying this new album. The lush vocal harmonies and beautifully expansive sounds make sense with both close listens and as background filler. The LA band has tapped into something great here.

Frightened Rabbit- State Hospital EP

The Scottish indie band is back with another heavy dose of emotional rock. Frightened Rabbit singer Scott Hutchinson said on the band's site, “I suppose certain songs just don’t fit in to an album, but we thought these four still deserved to be given more than simply ‘B-side’ status.”

Rickie Lee Jones- The Devil You Know

Jones is an artist that most would agree has established herself well enough to create an album like this. The record is a collection of stripped down covers of hit songs by artists such as The Rolling Stones and Neil Young.
