Cleverly avoiding the 2012 London Olympics in their overcrowded hometown, Mumford & Sons will return to the New York area with a show at Hoboken's Pier A, overlooking the Manhattan skyline, on August 1. That outdoor concert kicks off a summer tour of the States that includes the band's previously announced, sold-out "Gentlemen of the Road" Stopover gigs featuring St. Vincent, Dawes, The Maccabees and more.

Tickets for the additional Mumford & Sons shows, including gigs in Providence, RI, Louisville, KY, and Canandaigua, NY,  go on pre-sale this Thursday, June 28 and on sale to the general public on June 29.

Listen again to their 2011 WFUV live concert, but expect plenty of fresh material from the ebullient folk-rockers on this summer sojourn; a sophomore album is tentavely slated for an autumn release.
