New Music Monday Is Coloring Eggs Already

by Josh Briseno

New Music Monday is a collection of the best new releases in music each week. We share them with you every Monday, every hour on WFUV.

ALO- “Speed of Dreams”

Animal Liberation Orchestra’s latest release will having you singing along in no time. The rapid verses lead you into in an infectious chorus that keeps you hitting the repeat button.

Adam Cohen- Like a Man

Adam takes the lead from his father on his latest record, Like A Man. The album introduces us to love through a younger and at times a happier Cohen.

Rocco DeLuca- Drugs and Hymns

Drugs and Hymns doesn’t do first impressions well. The record is all over the place and leaves you feeling lost. If you have a little faith though, these ten songs win you over. Drugs and Hymns will slowly become one of your most played records.

JD McPherson- “North Side Gal”

This nostalgic track will having you wishing you were at the local ice cream shop listening to all the hits from new artists like Elvis, Buddy Holly, and Chuck Berry. JD might be more suited for the 50’s but his music provides us with a reminder of how far we have come.

Poor Moon- Illusion EP

This five song EP needs to be charged by the full length record. The first song throws a curveball but once you get past it the rest of the EP leaves you wanting more.

Grace Potter & The Nocturnals- “Never Go Back”

Dan Auerbach has had a busy 2012 and April just started. Not only did he produce Potter’s new record, he co-wrote this first song. This new song leaves you full of energy and hope for her full record.
