Hear an Alternate Side in Session with Operators.

Dan Boeckner of Operators has had a successful career in music with several different bands, and is probably best known for his work with Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs and Divine Fits.

Wolf Parade was signed to Sub Pop in 2004 by Modest Mouse singer Isaac Brock who was working at the label as an A&R rep at the time. The band released three great albums (which we still play on The Alternate Side).

After the dissolution of Wolf Parade, he started a new band with his wife, Alexei Perry, called Handsome Furs. They also put out three albums and we were big fans of their music as well. After the dissolution of that relationship, Dan joined Spoon's Britt Daniel and New Bomb Turk's Sam Brown in the band Divine Fits.

Now in Operators, Dan feels like this is the band he has been waiting for all along. Sam Brown joins him again in this new group as well as Macedonian multi-instrumentalist Devojka. The trio recently stopped by Studio A to perform some songs from their debut, EP 1, and you can check out those videos here.
