Katie Pearlman and Robert Bruey - Sunday Breakfast - 2015

Jeremy Rainer
Katie Pearlman and Robert Bruey are two of Long Island's finer singer-songwriters, though neither hails from there. Katie is a New Jersey native, who started piano lessons at age 5 before developing a lifelong love of the drums a few years later. These days she's most often seen with a guitar or her two daughters. She left the latter at home with husband Jeff (a musician himself), but brought the estimable Mark Newman to accompany her in Studio A.

Robert was joined in the studio by his wife, Dana, on harmony vocals. Originally from northern Maine, Robert came to Long Island because of his job and has settled on the North Fork. Something of a musical late bloomer, he's won respect and fans for his inviting vocals and well-crafted songs.
