Joy Kills Sorrow - Sunday Breakfast - 2013

by John Platt

Joy Kills Sorrow is a progressive bluegrass band from Boston which takes its name from the Indiana radio station that championed Bill Monroe ("WJKS: Where Joy Kills Sorrow"). They've got award-winning instrumental prowess, solid songwriting, and captivating vocals. With a new female bass player replacing Bridget Kearney (now a full-time member of Lake Street Dive), they powered their way through three songs live in Studio A.
