JJ Grey & Mofro are back with a new album, and they recently brought some Southern hospitality up from the Florida swamps to our frozen New York City winter when they visited WFUV.
JJ Grey has been cementing a reputation as one of the top vocalists and songwriters to come out of the Southern blues rock scene ever since Mofro emerged with their first album in 2001. Their new work, Ol' Glory, is packed with rocking, soulful songs and these were on display during this can't miss FUV Live session.
After visiting WFUV numerous times over the years, it was a pleasure for this Bronx boy to finally get a chance to meet JJ Grey and learn a few things about Mofro...and pecan farming!
