Heather Maloney and Darlingside - Sunday Breakfast - 2014

Musical pals Heather Maloney and the indie string quartet Darlingside met a couple of years ago in Northampton, MA. Heather had migrated to Western MA from North Jersey, drawn by a meditation center, and Darlingside, who met at Williams College, lived in that area before settling in Boston. It took Val Geller, a blogger for the New York Times, to get them to record together. She proposed they cover Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock." The result drew a shout out from Graham Nash and led to a five-song EP. They showed their musical chemistry in this studio session, performing "Woodstock" and three other songs together.
