Lo-Fang

Matthew Hemerlein is the man behind the moniker Lo-Fang.  He's a classically-trained musician who likes to experiment with as many different sounds as he can. The full length Lo-Fang debut, Blue Film, touches on styles from R&B to Pop to Krautrock, and is seamlessly held together through Hemerlein's smooth voice. There's something for everyone on this record. (Alisa Ali)

Matthew Hemerlein is the man behind the moniker Lo-Fang. He is a classically-trained musician who likes to experiment with as many different sounds as he can. In fact, he played all of the instruments on his full-length debut, Blue Film. The album touches on a great variety of styles – from Pop to Krautrock. He recently stopped by WFUV to perform some of his songs and to talk about the new record.
