Tonight at 9 we've got a session with Jenny Lewis. Her latest album is the 'FUV #NewDig this week. It's an album inspired by events in her own life including the death of her father, a break-up and the ticking of her biological clock. That brings to mind autobiographical songs - those about the artist who wrote and recorded them. Can you think of some good examples? List them below and we'll spin a set after 9am.

Jenny Lewis - FUV Live - 2014

by Carmel Holt

We first became familiar with this sun-drenched songstress through her work with the band Rilo Kiley, and Jenny Lewis continued to impress us with her sultry and insightful wit on her two solo records and her collaborations with The Postal Service and singer-songwriter (and her boyfriend) Johnathan Rice. Lewis’s recent contribution to the music-loving community is a new album called The Voyager (which was also our New Dig), and it examines heavy topics of regret and malaise through beguilingly smooth and honey-dripped songs.

Jenny and Johnny - Words and Music - 2010

by Kara Manning
Between working with Rilo Kiley, Elvis Costello, and even Lucille Ball, you would have thought that Jenny and Johnny - Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice - were having fun before, but their first release as a duo is called, 'I'm Having Fun Now,' which they spoke about with WFUV's Kara Manning.
