James Maddock - FUV Live - 2013

by Dennis Elsas

English-born, New York-based singer-songwriter James Maddock is one of our favorites at WFUV. I really enjoy his music and it was a special treat to welcome him to Studio A to introduce his new album, Another Life, and to share a live session with James and his band. We also explored his musical influences (including Neil Sedaka and Rod Stewart), his recent application for US citizenship and his strong desire to be a dad.

James Maddock - Words and Music - 2010

by Rita Houston
In 1999, James Maddock's band, Wood, released an album, 'Songs from Stamford Hill,' that found it's way into a lot of TV shows and movies soundtracks, and got them gigs playing for Paula Cole and Train. In the ten year gap between albums James got dropped from his label, divorced from his wife, and moved across the pond to New York. He spoke about this, and his new album "Sunrise on Avenue C," with FUV's Rita Houston. (12/15/09)
