Edie Brickell

Steve Martin and Edie Brickell - Live Concert - 2013

by Rita Houston

The new album, Love Has Come For You, pairs the banjo chops of Steve Martin with the warm, melodic voice of Edie Brickell. Hear how that combination translates live in this memorable (and yes, funny) FUV Live show where Steve and Edie were joined on the City Winery stage by The Steep Canyon Rangers, as well as the album's producer, Peter Asher.

Edie Brickell - Words and Music - 2012

by Rita Houston

It may have been awhile since this Texan singer-songwriter was "Shooting Rubberbands At The Stars," but Edie Brickell hasn't lost her effortless knack for lilting vocals and playful lyrics. Now singing in the supergroup The Gaddabouts (pictured above), Edie recently came by to chat about the band's new double album, Look Out Now, and to tell some great stories from her many days on the road and behind the mic.  [recorded: 04/17/12]

Edie Brickell- Words and Music- 2011

by Rita Houston

Edie Brickell doesn't release new material often, so the fact that's she's already put out two new albums in 2011 is a real treat. WFUV's Rita Houston talked with Edie about her new solo album and her new one with The Gaddabouts--and she played a few live songs.
