Bonnie Raitt - Words and Music - 2012

by Rita Houston

It's been a 7-year wait between studio albums, but Bonnie Raitt is back - and in fine form - with her latest release, 'Slipstream.' A lifelong collaborator, Bonnie worked for the first time with Joe Henry on a few of the new songs, but also enlisted her longtime bandmates as well. That crew joined her at NYC's Avatar Studios recently, where FUV's Rita Houston had a chance to talk with Bonnie about her place in the slipstream of music. [recorded 04/13/12]

The Doctor Is In the House

by John Platt

It's been two months since Mardi Gras and less than two weeks until Jazzfest, but you can find a taste of The Big Easy in Brooklyn this weekend in the third part of Dr. John's "Insides Out" residency at BAM, "Funky But It's Nu Awlins."

Public Radio Rocks!

by John Platt

We probably don’t need to convince you about the invaluable role public radio plays in supporting music, but you can’t take some things for granted. So WFUV is proud to partner with NPR and other stations across the country as we declare April to be Public Radio Music Month.
