Islanders Get 6 Past Fleury, Even Series at Two

John Tavares' goal at 10:11 in the third nearly tore the roof off the Nassau Coliseum, because it gave the Islanders a Game 4 victory the team so desperately needed. Both teams went back-and-forth the entire game, with the Islanders holding two early leads, which didn't even combine to total two minutes. They let in an early goal in the final period off the stick of Evgeni Malkin, but Mark Streit, John Tavares, and Casey Cizikas netted three unanswered to help the Isles pull away.

Brooklyn's Inconsistency Finally Catches Up

The stage was set for the Nets to become the 9th team in NBA playoff history to come back from a 3-1 deficit, hosting Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals in the Barclay's Center.  Kirk Hinrich was out with a calf injury, Luol Deng rested in a Chicago hospital suffering from the flu, and Derrick Rose dressed in a suit ̶  still unable to play one year after tearing his ACL. Despite the Bulls' injuries and momentum from a two game winning streak, it was not to be.
