Coach Moorhead provides early insight
The fall football practice schedule opened up this afternoon and the Fordham Rams (ranked 12th in the preseason FCS Coaches poll) are already flying around, albeit without pads.
After the first day of practice, third year head coach Joe Moorhead told the team he was pleased with their effort on day one, but expected more in their preparation and execution aspects as the summer sessions turn toward the 2014 season. He also reassured first year players who were seemingly "caught up in the wash" on the first day that things will begin to slow down with time.
Coach Moorhead joined me for a few minutes to discuss new players in the fold and what he expects to see in the first week of practice. He particularly points to transfer quarterback Kevin Anderson and first year tailback Chase Edmonds as players who impressed in the opening practice.
