Fordham gets first A-10 Tournament win since 2007
The Fordham Rams had lost eight games in row coming into tonight’s opening round in the Atlantic 10 tournament. One more loss would be the end of the season. Thanks to four players scoring in double figures and a career high 19 rebounds by Ryan Canty, Fordham lives on to play another game. The Rams prevailed 70-67 tonight over George Mason.
Fordham led by 11 points multiple times in the game, but Mason never relented, cutting the lead to one in the second half. The Rams were forced into a situation where free throws would mean the game, and hit them down the stretch to ensure the hard fought win.
The Rams will take on the fifth seeded Dayton Flyers in the second round of the tournament tomorrow at 2:30 PM. The One on One pregame report will air at 2:25 on both 90.7 FM and WFUVSports.org.
