New Jersey Devils Drop Home Opener

After opening the 2014-15 season with a 4 game road trip, the New Jersey Devils returned to the Prudential Center Saturday night to begin their home campaign against the San Jose Sharks.  The Devils opened up their season on October 9th in Philadelphia with a 6-4 win, and then followed that up with a 5-1 win in Florida against the Panthers.  The Devils then stayed in the “Sunshine State,” and beat the Tampa Bay Lightning in a close 2-1 win.  On October 16, the Devils suffered their first loss of the season, losing 6-2 to the Capitals in Washington.

25 years ago yesterday, Game 3 for the 1989 World Series between the San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics was interrupted by an earthquake, and Al Michaels was there to announce it all. After Matt and Kelly then look back on a few of last week's biggest performances, including Dallas's win at Seattle, Joe Flacco's 5 touchdowns in 16 minutes against Tampa Bay, and Aaron Rodgers' game winning drive in Miami.
