Chris Gaston's 100th career game is more of the same for Fordham
Fordham (6-24, 2-13 A10) finished out their 2013 home slate with a 19 point loss to Temple (22-8, 10-5 A10) Wednesday night, 74-55. Fordham led 12-6 with about 13 minutes to go in the first half, but scored only five points for the remainder of the half and found themselves down by 11 at the break. This put them in a hole they would never climb out of before a sparse Rose Hill Gym crowd.
One bright spot was Chris Gaston, playing in the final home game of his storied Fordham career. He came away with 12 points, and fouled out to a standing ovation late in the second. Jeff Short also chipped in with 15 points on 5-10 shooting from distance.
The Rams have one game left in the 2012-2013, and it will take place in Olean, NY this Saturday against St. Bonaventure. Festivities get underway at 3:30 with an extended edition of the One on One pregame report. Tipoff at 4 on 90.7 FM and WFUVSports.org!
