GW's Start Too Hot for Fordham

Fordham fell to George Washington on the road Saturday night 93-67. The Colonials shot the ball very well all game. They used a stretch of 11 straight baskets in the first half to take a commanding 56-33 lead at the half.

 WFUV is well-know for producing some of the best broadcasters in the industry. From Vin Scully to Michael Breen to Spero Dedes, the list is extraordinary. Three prominent alums in the media capital of the world joined One on One Live from Radio Row on Thursday and Friday to give their take on a New York Super Bowl as well as what Seattle and Denver must do to take home the prize.

For Greg Wilson, the path to the Super Bowl was an unlikely one. A mere two weeks ago, Wilson was out in San Francisco selling insurance to make a life. Now, he's back in the city that never sleeps on the practice squad for a team that has a chance to win Super Bowl XLVIII. 

The 6-foot wideout played his last two years of college ball at Fordham after transferring from Diablo Valley Community College. Wilson scored four touchdowns in each of his two years and had over 1,000 receiving.

The Rams jumped out to a 7-0 lead in against the 13th ranked team in the country but could not sustain that momentum.  The Minutemen turned on the defense using a full-court press that gave them control the rest of the way.

Rams Comeback to Defeat George Mason

There were several times when Rams fans probably thought another winnable game had gotten away on Wednesday night. Not this time.  Fordham (8-10, 1-4 A10) overcame an 11-point first half deficit and a 10-point second half hole to defeat the Patriots of George Mason (7-12, 0-5 A10), 76-70.
