Honoring Levon Helm, Ernie Harwell and Bob Schieffer
WFUV Public Radio from Fordham University held our 2010 Gala event at Gotham Hall on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 honoring musician Levon Helm, sportscaster Ernie Harwell, and television journalist Bob Schieffer. Hundreds of New York's corporate, cultural and government leaders joined together in support of WFUV.
The festivities included a cocktail reception and dinner, silent and live auctions, and of course - music! WFUV Music Director Rita Houston invited Levon Helm to be presented with the 'Sound and Vision Award'; he and his stellar band performed a seriously hot set for the guests.
