Vin Scelsa's "Idiot's Delight" For March 15

by WFUV Staff
The cast of "Almost Famous" (2000) in a publicity photo.

On tonight's "Idiot's Delight"® at 8, Vin Scelsa takes a late winter stroll to all corners of the musical spectrum, from a classic jazz tune like Wes Montgomery's "Bumpin'" to one of the great bittersweet rock and roll movie scenes of all time courtesy of Cameron Crowe's 2000 film, "Almost Famous." The bus is named Doris, the fictional band is Stillwater and you know the tune, don't you?

Vin also counts headlights on the highway with Laura Nyro, Beck and The Ides of March.

That's Vin Scelsa's "Idiot's Delight,"® Saturdays from 8-10 p.m. on 90.7FM, also streaming online.

If you miss tonight's show, you can find "Idiot's Delight"® in the FUV archives for two weeks after broadcast.
