Join Us Tonight on the Whole Wide World as we play the legendary Elvis Costello and The Roots concert that took place at Brooklyn Bowl earlier this month. Our own Rita Houston was there to witness the collaborative magic that took place on stage, promoting their new album, Wise Up Ghost.

"The pairing sounds great on paper, and is even cooler in reality. It's not that The Roots made a rock record, nor is it Elvis' hip-hop album — that's the beauty of it. The songs have Elvis' lyrical depth and distinctive vocals surrounded by funky horns and driving rhythms. All were present at Brooklyn Bowl."

Stick with us for some great music from Arcade Fire, Bltzen Trapper, The Velvet Underground and many more as the Whole Wide World gets going.

Tune in for the Whole Wide World with Rita Houston tonight and every Friday night from 7-10pm on 90.7 FM or online at wfuv.org. Miss a show? Be sure to explore past broadcasts in the WFUV Archives.
