This week kicks off the anniversary of the "The Group Harmony Review," which celebrates 51 years on the air at the end of March, and Women's History month too. The first hour will be a continuation of the focus on 1950s rock 'n' roll and R&B's transition into soul harmony. Artists will include the Temptations, Carla Thomas, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, the O'Jays and the Marvelettes.
The second hour I'll commence a salute to the ladies with sounds from the 1940s through the 1960s, featuring many obscure and relatively unknown recordings.
Is the show on too late for you? You can always catch up to it in the FUV archives for up to two weeks after broadcast.
