On tonight's "The Bottomless Pit" at 10, I correct a verbal gaffe that I made on the show a couple of weeks ago during a "senior moment," then I play some tracks from my broken-in but nice sounding LP of Lou Reed's great album, The Blue Mask, featuring R. Quine.
Part Two is the jazz portion and features a tribute to Chico Hamilton. I play a track by his quintet, a tune featuring and composed by guitarist Jim Hall who just passed away yesterday. Wow ...
Then, for Part Three, I'll be putting the proceedings in the capable hands of my iPod on shuffle. It'll be ACTING, I'll be REACTING.
That's "The Bottomless Pit," nearly every Saturday night at 10pm EST on 90.7FM WFUV and streaming online.
