Mile Failte with Seamus Blake for February 23rd: At 2 PM, today, at the New York Irish Center, in Long Island City, the Irish language book club, Club Leabhar Nua Eabhrac, discusses the collection of short stories by Alex Hijmans, originally from Holland -- A Dutch, Portugese, English and Irish Gaelic speaker. Written in Irish, the collection, "Gonta" [which means "wounded"], is set in the areas of Brazil where the poor, Afro-Brazilians reside. All who have read it are welcome.
