Saint Rich's sinewy guitar rock — coincidentally played by four guys as reedy and tall as cattails — is nonchalant, scruffy and playful. The duo of shaggy-haired Steve Marion and baby-faced vocalist Christian Peslak expanded to a quartet for their FUV Live at CMJ set of nine songs, pulled from their debut album Beyond the Drone. From the muscular throes of "Sorry/Sadly" to the insolent shrug of their catchy single, "Officer," Saint Rich managed to meld their New Jersey swagger with a hint of Arctic Monkeys' chic cheek.
