Of course you know this prolific musician from his work with his bands Bright Eyes, Desaparecidos and Monsters of Folk, to name a few. He’s also put out several albums as a solo artist. In fact, he just released his sixth solo album, Upside Down Mountain, and it we recently made the record our FUV's New Dig. Of the new album, Oberst says, “For me, language is a huge part of why I make music. I’m not the greatest guitar player or piano player. I’m not the greatest singer either, but I feel if I can come up with melodies I like that are fused with poetry I’m proud of, then that’s what I bring to the table.” Hear the ever-so-humble Conor Oberst perform songs from Upside Down Mountain for us in Studio A.
