On Your Radar: Clarence Bucaro, Goodnight Moonshine, and Tara O'Grady

by John Platt

The August 13, 2013 On Your Radar at Rockwood Music Hall presented this triple bill:

Clarence Bucaro, a soulful singer-songwriter from Cleveland now living in Brooklyn. He recorded his most recent CD, Dreaming from the Heart of New York, in New Orleans with one of his mentors, Andres Osborne.

Goodnight Moonshine, a side project of Molly Venter of Red Molly and Eben Pariser of Roosevelt Dime, two of New York's best roots groups. They met at a folk conference and found they musical and personal chemistry.

Clarence Bucaro and Goodnight Moonshine - Sunday Breakfast - 2013

by John Platt
In this two-fer session, I welcomed a duo composed of two people who had been on the Sunday Breakfast before (but not together) and a first-time visitor. The duo is Goodnight Moonshine, a side project for Molly Venter of Red Molly and Eben Pariser of Roosevelt Dime. The first-timer is Clarence Bucaro, a Cleveland native now living in Brooklyn, whose sixth album, Dreaming from the Heart of New York, was produced in New Orleans by Anders Osborn.
